Writing workshops
Tuesday evenings

We spend the first hour writing. It’s one of the most glorious things you can ever see in this life; ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, even a hundred people writing together in silence. The second hour is spent reading what we’ve written. Finally, in the third hour, Everyone acts somebody else’s text.

FREE, OPEN TO ALL

Every Tuesday evening, Pascal Rambert, with help from other writers and directors, offers the people of Gennevilliers, Paris and Ile-de-France the opportunity to share a unique experience, filled with humour and emotion as well as awareness of life’s more serious side. The public, regardless of age, class or background, are invited to the theatre to write, read and express themselves.

Creating, producing and spreading work which speaks strongly of the state of the modern world, the T2G reaches out directly to the residents of Gennevilliers and Ile-de-France with its reading and writing workshops.

These initiatives put people of all ages, origins and walks of life into the spotlight in productions like Rachid Ouramdane’s Surface de réparation (2007), John Malpede’s Red Beard, Red Beard (2008) and Pascal Rambert and Éric Méchoulan’s Une (micro) histoire économique du monde, dansée (2010), as well as in the films made in Gennevilliers and the photography of Valérie Jouve and Nan Goldin.

Aware of the urgent need for communication, affiliation and continuity with the local population, the T2G simultaneously succeeds in making art and forging a social bond.
