Each year, a number of shows are "rehearsed and premiered in Gennevilliers". And because the Théâtre de Gennevilliers is an open venue, certain rehearsals are open to all. Members of the public are invited to watch selected rehearsals in progress, free of charge – a chance to see how the finished show on stage is created by a company of actors and performers, over time. Around 500 people attended open rehearsals at the theatre in 2008-9.
